The UT110-CH500 steep slope harvester is the first machine in the world that enables mechanical harvesting of grapes up to 75% steep slopes and on narrow terraces.

Smaller, lighter and more compact than any other grape harvester, it is equipped with a very high number of equipment and adjustment possibilities

The steep slope grape harvester can also be used advantageously where conventional machines cannot fit, for example due to narrow access roads

HARVEST ON TERRACED VINEYARDS

Since the grape harvester is entirely installed on the tracked tool carrier, only one row is necessary to harvest in the vineyard.

This allows for the first time to introduce mechanized harvesting even in terraced vineyards.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

HARVEST ON TERRACED VINEYARDS

A special version of the harvesting head has been developed specifically for terraced vineyards in order to guarantee the maximum harvesting speed, up to 4 km/h while maintaining excellent product quality.

Components of proven reliability, such as shakers, are used in the harvesting head.

A single conveyor belt delicately deposits the grapes in the tank, to the advantage of lightness with no crushing of the grapes.

Two capacities of the grape collection tank are available:

    • 650 liters for rows with a minimum width of 1.60 m
    • 800 liters in rows with a minimum width of 1.80 m

LIGHTWEIGHT, COMPACT, ROBUST

The collection tank is relatively large with its 800 liter capacity. The distribution auger guarantees perfect filling

The large collection tank allows you to harvest without interruptions even on long rows.

The steep slope grape harvester has been designed to be much lighter and more compact than conventional grape harvesters.

At the same time it was designed to be installed directly on the tracked tool carrier and guarantee maximum stability on longitudinal and transversal slopes. The construction of the frame ensures the permanent resistance of the structure both to vibrations due to harvesting and to any operator driving errors (for example, accidental collisions with poles)

The driver’s cab is certified to ROPS standards to protect the operator’s safety.

The cabin is equipped with air conditioning and heating and guarantees the maximum level of comfort during long working days.

The operator is protected from sudden changes in temperature as well as from dust and chemicals thanks to an activated carbon filtering system.

The pneumatic driver’s seat can be electrically adjusted in inclination to adapt to slope conditions.

Even operators taller than 1.90 m find sufficient space in the cab

VERY LOW GROUND PRESSURE

The contact surface with the ground is notable: with a support area of ​​1.2 m² the weight is well distributed. The ground pressure is lower than that exerted by a conventional tractor.

MAXIMUM COLLECTION EFFICIENCY

Targeted air flows, in combination with the conveyor belt and mobile bulkheads avoid product loss even in extreme slope conditions. Excellent grape quality and extreme efficiency.

CMS  –  CRAWLER MECHANIZATION SYSTEM

Since the grape harvester is only one of the pieces of equipment that can be installed, the tracked tool carrier can be used for any other work in the vineyard:

  • pre-pruning
  • shredding
  • soil tillage
  • defoliation
  • spraying
  • soil preparation
  • planting

It only takes 30 minutes to remove the grape harvester and install the three-point hydraulic lift in its place. It is also possible to install various equipment directly on the tool carrier such as: atomizer, sulfur sprayer, fertilizer spreader, excavator, trimmer, container for transporting things, etc.

For equipment such as trimmers etc. a swivel support system can be installed

ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED WINCH SYNCHRONIZED IN SPEED

The electronically controlled winch installed on the tracked operating machine allows you to maintain a constant pulling force on the rope regardless of the machine’s forward speed, thus guaranteeing maximum operator safety and contributing to the homogeneous distribution of the weight released by the tracks onto the ground .

The pulling force is adjustable by the operator depending on the operating conditions of the vehicle.

The UT110-CH500 machine was born from a long-term collaboration with the German company CH Engineering which focused on the development of the harvesting head thanks to the experience gained in steeply sloping vineyards in the Moselle region. The UT110 multifunction tractor and the CH 500 grape harvester were designed based on each other to ensure perfect weight balance and stability. The project is revolutionary and unique in the world because it allows you to have a grape harvester as interchangeable equipment to be mounted on an extremely stable and powerful operating machine, allowing you to go mechanically harvesting in places where it was unthinkable until a few years ago.

The machine has been optimized over the years, initially focusing on vineyards with strong longitudinal slopes (retouching), achieving great success and recognition throughout Europe. Interest subsequently grew also in terraced vineyards where normal grape harvesters are unable to work.

Our grape harvester has the great advantage of having a drive unit with a very low center of gravity which requires a single entry row while only the header goes over the row. This allows for great agility and the possibility of entering rows even in conditions with limited maneuvering space. Furthermore, the harvesting head is equipped with an opening mechanism that allows you to disengage from the vegetation at any time and possibly even move in reverse without damaging the vineyard.
